I am an IB mathematics Examiner and currently teaching DP Mathematics (HL for MAA and MAI, and I certified category 2 and 3) and MYP Mathematics. I have been teaching for more than 20 years as lecturer of Mathematics, Statistics and Calculus. I am also well versed with ICT for math, such as TI-Nspire, Geogebra, Desmos, SPSS, etc. particularly for ICT used in IB exams. For my Educational Background, I have a bachelor degree in Industrial engineering, 2 Masters degree in Financial engineering and Certified Data Scientist. I am also have teacher (CLIL) Certification by UNIVERSITY of CAMBRIDGE.

My educational philosophy is rooted in the belief that students should be empowered to become independent, critical thinkers and lifelong learners. I consider teaching and learning as the process of delivering conceptual understanding based on the cycle of inquiry, action, and reflection. In the process of inquiry, “The cycle of mathematical inquiry” is used, which happens in the form of investigation and exploration. To deepen students' understanding, “The cycle of mathematical modeling” is applied to the local and global contexts. This will increase students' relational understanding since it constantly requires critical reflection throughout the process. I believe that students learn best when they learn in authentic contexts and solve real-life problems as a team to mimic the real world. I am competent with 21st-century technology and integrate it regularly in my teaching. Based on my experience, students can extend their thinking and learn more when they are exposed to technology in lessons.

Mr Brian can be deemed a very good and trusted teacher that is an expert at his field. He is a really good teacher because he creates an effect for students to actually want to learn.
