Tentang Lisa
With over 20 years of experience teaching IELTS and Academic English, I have developed a deep passion for the relationship between reading and writing. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in TEFL as well. This educational background equips me with the skills to analyze students’ strengths and weaknesses and tailor my teaching to their unique learning styles.
Throughout my teaching career, I’ve had the pleasure of working with eager and motivated students who strive to achieve their goals but often feel lost in managing their learning and organizing effective study techniques. I firmly believe that a combination of study requirements, precise results from placement tests, and an enjoyable teaching approach can lead to success. Together, we’ll create a structured yet engaging learning environment that sets you on the path to achieving your IELTS goals!

Course Outline.
A. Before starting the course, students will take a Placement Test to analyze their strengths
and weaknesses, making the syllabus more efficient and effective.
1. Placement Test: Reading and Listening
2. Placement Test: Writing Task 1 & Task 2 Analysis and Speaking
B. Then, We’ll discuss the proposed syllabus and find the best days and times for your
lessons.
C. You’ll then purchase the necessary books and learning materials.
D. Finally, Let’s dive into your learning journey together!
E. Oh, don't forget, We’ll conduct weekly evaluations, monthly assessments, and a final
evaluation to track your progress and celebrate your achievements!
Course Overview:
My unique approach combines IELTS reading with breaking down writing tasks, allowing you to mine valuable vocabulary that will significantly boost your score.
Initially, we will examine the IELTS score rubric to understand what is required for your desired score. From there, I will guide you in meeting those criteria while helping you avoid unnecessary mistakes. By exploring various reading materials, you’ll enrich your vocabulary with advanced and essential terms needed to achieve a high score in writing. Additionally, as we analyze the structure and grammar of these readings, you’ll gain insights that will elevate your own writing quality.
Together, we’ll work step by step to ensure you feel prepared and capable, and I’m excited to support you on your journey toward achieving your IELTS goals!
