Tentang Theola
I am an undergraduate student majoring in French Language and Literature and have been very fond of learning about languages and people's cultures, that is why my learning method will be based on local stories and songs. Beside going to classes, I also work as a volunteer in a center for disability studies and services where I help other students with disability to access study materials and participate in their classes. With that being said, I am pretty familiar with helping people to learn.
When I help people learn, I prefer to act as a friend or acquaintance that shares some knowledge, rather than a teacher that teaches them.

Do you know that Indonesian language was one of 55 languages sent to outer space? Aliens might one day come up to you and say "Halo! Apa kabar?" You have to be prepared! This could sound not realistic, but definitely fun to imagine. Imaginative, thought-provoking, and fun. This is what our class is going to be like. Being a native and a literature student myself, I will share the things I've learnt and present the Indonesian language not only as a language but also as an identity and art.
We will learn the language mainly through local songs, plays, and folktale. My class will be very relaxed and aimed to those who are curious and want to learn about Indonesian language. The class duration is also flexible. Whoever you are, wherever you come from, and whatever age you are, feel free to come.
