Tentang Azalea
I am currently a student at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), one of Indonesia’s top universities, where international-standard learning materials are commonly used. As a result, English has become a natural part of my academic life, and I consider it my second language after Indonesian.
Outside of university, I work part-time as a tutoring center instructor and have experience teaching international students. This has helped me grow more comfortable using English in both formal teaching settings and everyday conversation.
I’m also fairly active on social media and stay updated with pop culture and current trends, which keeps me familiar with English slang and casual expressions. This makes it easier for me to connect with students and communicate naturally, especially when teaching Indonesian in a way that reflects real-life language use and modern cultural context.

In this course, you will learn Indonesian through English, with a focus on how the language is actually used in daily life—casual conversations, common expressions, and up-to-date slang that you won’t always find in textbooks. Instead of formal grammar drills, we’ll explore how Indonesian is spoken naturally by locals in various situations.
Each session lasts around 1 to 1.5 hours, and can be adjusted based on your learning pace and goals. I’ve been fluent in English from a young age, have traveled abroad several times, and I regularly use English in both my academic and professional settings. This helps me explain the nuances of Indonesian in ways that are clear and relatable, especially for English speakers.
This course is suitable for learners of all ages and backgrounds—whether you’re preparing for a trip to Indonesia, working with Indonesian colleagues, or simply curious about the language and culture. I aim to make learning feel natural, relaxed, and relevant to your everyday needs.
