Hiii everyone!!

I’m Dewi, and I’ve been teaching for around 7 years.

Over the years, I’ve had the chance to teach students of different ages, backgrounds, and learning styles. So if you’re a complete beginner or feel like your Bahasa Indonesia is still far from where you want it to be, don’t worry at all! We can start exactly where you are and work our way up from there.

Besides teaching, I also have experience working and communicating directly with foreign nationals (WNA) in a variety of professional settings. Some of my memorable experiences include being involved in a project with Boeing and working as a Supervisor at the international exhibition Asian Pacific Aquaculture, which was also attended by the Vice President of Indonesia and other senior government officials.

These experiences have given me plenty of opportunities to use English in real-life situations, which is especially helpful when teaching Bahasa Indonesia to foreign learners. I understand that learning a new language can sometimes feel confusing, especially when the explanations themselves are in another language. So in my classes, I’ll make sure everything is explained clearly and in a way that’s easy to follow.

Whether you’re learning Bahasa Indonesia for travel, everyday conversations, work, making Indonesian friends, or simply getting to know Indonesia and its culture, we can make the lessons fit your goals.

I believe everyone has a different way of learning. So instead of forcing you to follow one learning method, we’ll figure out what works best for you. We’ll explore your learning style together and find a way to make Bahasa Indonesia feel easier, more natural, and—most importantly—fun to learn!

In my classes, we don’t just learn “what” — we also learn “why.” Because memorizing words and grammar rules is one thing, but understanding why something is said in a certain way makes it much easier to remember and actually use Bahasa Indonesia in real conversations.

And let’s be honest… nobody wants to just sit, read a textbook, and fall asleep. That’s why we’ll make learning more fun with PPTs, flashcards, conversations, practice activities, and learning materials that you can review after each lesson.

Whether you’re learning Bahasa Indonesia for travel, everyday conversations, work, making Indonesian friends, or simply because you’re interested in Indonesia and its culture, we can adjust the lessons to your goals.
