Tentang Johan
I have always been fascinated by how our planet works. From the movement of tectonic plates and the formation of landscapes to climate change and the relationship between humans and nature.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Environmental Sciences from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), one of Indonesia's leading universities. During my studies, I developed a strong interest in Earth systems, environmental science, and the use of geospatial technology to understand real-world problems.
Beyond academics, I have worked professionally as a GIS and Remote Sensing Specialist, where I applied geographic data and satellite imagery to analyze environmental and spatial challenges. I have also trained professionals in using GIS technologies, including WebGIS and ArcGIS Online.
Teaching has always been an important part of my journey. I have experience guiding students in Science, Geography, Mathematics, and Olympiad preparation. Through teaching, I discovered that many students struggle with science not because the concepts are too difficult, but because they rarely get the chance to see the connections between theories and the real world.
My goal as a tutor is to make Earth Science and Geography more engaging by combining scientific concepts with real examples, maps, satellite images, and environmental stories. I want students not only to achieve better academic results but also to develop curiosity and a deeper understanding of the planet we live on.
